Joy Schoffler

Joy Schoffler, senior advisor at the Experience Firm and principal of Leverage PR, a Caliber Corporate Advisers Company, is an internationally recognized author and speaker in the field of innovative marketing and communications strategy.

 

An active technology leader, Joy is on the advisory board of SXSW Accelerator, AARP’s FinTech Accelerator, serves as Executive Chair of FinTech Professionals Association and is a mentor for the Yodlee Interactive Incubator. Joy additionally sat on the board of CFIRA for years working on JOBS Act implementation.

 

Prior to acquisition by NY based, Caliber Corporate Advisors, Joy grew Leverage PR into an internationally recognized, award-winning agency representing leading technology brands and global governments.

 

Leverage PR has represented; SXSW, McGraw-Hill Education, UC Berkeley, the Ministry of Japan, Apex-Brasil, and the City of Hamburg Germany in addition to dozens of FinTech brands.

 

Her extensive experience in financial services and FinTech has made her a go-to source for media, leading to features in CNBC, Forbes, Inc., Reuters, Yahoo among others. Joy has written for Entrepreneur.com, USA Today and was a contributing author for the Wiley-published Bloomberg Media book “Crowdfunding: The Ultimate Guide to Raising Capital on the Internet.”

 

She has deep expertise in managing media and coordination at high-profile events, including SXSW, Finovate, Empire Startup’s FinTech Week, Kingonomics – which included a “Shark Tank” casting call – and an investment summit with events on Capitol Hill and the White House.

 

Prior to Leverage, Joy served as director of acquisitions for two-time Inc. 5000 award-winning investment firm, The PPA Group. Companies Joy has worked with have been acquired, closed funding rounds, and experienced substantial growth in revenue and brand awareness.

 

Joy won; the Stiletto Woman in Business “Entrepreneur of the Year” award, Women Communicators of Austin’s “Outstanding Austin Communicator” award and the 2016 Austin Under 40 award.

Joy served as a finance and public affairs officer in the U.S. Army Reserves and Texas State Guard.
